Situated on a corner of an industrial estate on Bootham Lane in Stainforth The Pit Top Canteen is up and running out of a converted portakabin and features outside artwork completed by Stainforth’s Karl Lanaghan – KL Design

Mrs Silver Surfer and I gave the new venue a try yesterday and opted for a “Small” Breakfast each, sadly delivery wasn’t available so I popped down and collected our order 15 minutes later. The order was ready for me and was piping hot, packed up and ready to go!

We were more than pleased with our breakfasts you can really tell the difference when quality ingredients are used. The bread was super tasty from a local baker

The butchers sausages were a real treat compared to the supermarket varieties a lot of cafes seem to offer coupled with great quality bacon and tasty black pudding it really was 10/10 from us and we will most definitely be back soon!
