Easter Weekend so decided to treat Mrs Surfer, our Daughter and Granddaughter Dot to a Fish & chips meal out! We had been recommended a restaurant in Conisbrough aptly named SeaFish Conisbrough, which despite been 20 miles away from us proved to be well worth the effort.
As it was Good Friday we expected the restaurant to be busy and we weren’t wrong and it proved to have been a good decision to have booked a table in advance.
There is plenty of parking on site although some areas of the car park involve a bit of a slope so probably wise to drop your guests off before parking 😉
We were greeted at the door and directed to our table and took a few minutes to study the menu, SeaFish offers a really wide menu and is certainly not limited to “just” fish and chips!

They also offer a variety of Burgers and steaks from the menu, truly a great range to choose from and something to suit all tastes.
The 3 adults all opted for the Large Cod with chips and garden peas (garden peas not on the menu but happily offered on request). Dot chose sausage, chips and garden peas and cleared her plate which for her is very unusual 🙂

All condiments are available free on request including Tartar sauce and free bread & butter too!
The fish was really fantastic and was honestly one of the best portions of battered fish any of us had eaten, batter was nice and crispy, fish was flaky and chips perfectly cooked.
Having all polished off our plates we decided to go all in and finish off with a dessert. I chose the Apple Torte with ice cream which was delicious!

Mrs Surfer and my daughter both opted for Banoffee & Biscoff Gelato which was great but was missing fresh banana and the wafer 🙁 bit of a shame but didn’t really spoil our evening 😉

Dot opted for her favourite dessert – Alabama Fudge Cake (she was offered cream or ice cream but declined). and as you can see, she was delighted when it arrived at the table!

Overall our experience was truly great and Dot rated the restaurant 2000/2000 which I don’t think can be beaten.
We have no hesitation in recommending SeaFish, the food was superb and the staff were all super friendly and happy to serve us and really helpful!
Check out their facebook page SeaFishConisbrough and if you’re nearby treat yourself to a great meal out!

Looks delicious!
