We recently had a short break at The Royal, Whitby and on our 2nd Day we had a drive over to Scarborough to visit some of the places used during the TV series “The Royal”. While we were in Scarborough is seemed a good opportunity to charge our car using the Instavolt chargers located in the Pavillion Square Car park. Once the car was feeding itself with electrons we decided we might need a refuel too and had a quick look round for somewhere to grab a bit to eat!Luckily the Rendezvous Cafe was literally just around the corner on Northway so we had a wander down to check them out. Here was have an old fashioned basic “greasy spoon” Cafe, order and pay at the counter, get given a number, find a table and listen out for your number being called whereupon they bring your order to you.
We both had a cheese toasty, and it was really great, didn’t have to wait too long for our food and it arrived piping hot and well presented. I had a cappuccino and my wife had a hot chocolate, again both hot and enjoyable. Cafe staff also happy to provide a glass of tapwater without hesitation too. If your looking for a quick pitstop with tasty food give Rendezvous a try!
